Terms of Service

StockPal ("the app", "we", "us") is an investment portfolio tracking service. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms include our End User License Agreement ("EULA") and subscription terms required by Apple.

Who can use StockPal

You must be at least 13 years old to use StockPal. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter into this agreement.

No financial advice

StockPal is an informational tool, not a financial advisor. Prices, fundamentals, AI-generated picks, insights, chat replies, and any other numbers or text shown by the app may be incorrect, stale, out of date, or inaccurate. AI-generated content is produced by large language models and may contain errors, hallucinations, or outdated information.

Do not use StockPal data or AI output for trading decisions. Always verify with your broker, exchange, bank, or a licensed financial advisor before acting on any information you see in the app. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Your data, your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the accounts, holdings, and other data you enter into the app. StockPal does not validate, audit, or reconcile your data against any external source. You are responsible for keeping a separate record of your actual holdings with your broker or bank.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or subscription controls.
  • Use the app to harass, abuse, or impersonate other users.
  • Attempt to scrape, spider, or bulk-download data from the app or our backend.
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to disrupt the service.

Subscription terms (StockPal Premium)

StockPal offers an optional auto-renewing subscription called StockPal Premium that unlocks additional features including full Discover picks, deep ticker analysis, the Ask StockPal AI chat, the daily portfolio brief, and Discover refreshes up to 3 times per day.

Subscription options

  • StockPal Premium (Weekly) — 1 week subscription.
  • StockPal Premium (Yearly) — 1 year subscription.

Price and payment

The current price for each subscription option is displayed in the app on the subscription screen before purchase, in your local currency. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Free trial (where offered)

If a free trial is offered, the trial period length is displayed in the app before you subscribe. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. You may cancel during the trial at no charge as described below.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period at the same price as the previous period unless the subscription price has changed. You will be notified in advance of any price change.

How to manage or cancel

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Apple ID account settings after purchase:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You retain access to Premium features until then. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.

Ownership and license

StockPal grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/). All rights not expressly granted are reserved. StockPal retains all intellectual property rights in the app and its content.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall StockPal, its author, or its providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or trading losses, arising out of or related to your use of the app. The total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Service availability and changes

StockPal may change, become unavailable, or be discontinued at any time without notice. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features. We make no guarantee of uptime or continued service. If Premium is discontinued, any unused portion of your current subscription period will be refunded pro rata.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account in-app via Profile → Delete account. We may terminate or suspend your account without notice if you violate these terms or use the app in a way that could cause harm to us or other users. On termination, your license to use the app ends immediately.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore, unless your local consumer protection law gives you other rights that cannot be waived.
